Homes for Sale in Copper Hills in Austin

By now, it’s pretty well known that Austin is one of the most popular places to move to. The combination of no state income tax, a thriving job market and relatively affordable housing make the Texas Capitol a great place to get more for your money. Additionally, the Austin area offers ideal lifestyle options and a vibrant arts culture. In the suburbs, house hunters can find the perfect property to satisfy just about anyone. For those looking for a spacious retreat outside of the city, Copper Hills in Austin may be a perfect community.

You can find Copper Hills southwest of Austin in an area of Hays County known as Manchaca. Although the community itself is a modest one, the community offers large homesites. Copper Hills homes offer a rural feel despite being 30 minutes from downtown Austin. Closer still is all that Southwest Austin has to offer, including the Southpark Meadows development.

Originally built in 1994, the development completed build-out in 2004. Over 90% of the homes in Copper Hills are owned-occupied, which makes it an ideal community for establishing long-term homeownership to build home equity. There’s no homeowners’ association in the community, so residents save on community dues that are common for those with an association.

Within the community, homes average about 2,500 square feet and commonly offer floorplans with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. However, homes can have as many as 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The homesites are generally an acre in size, with plenty of mature trees and natural landscaping.

Median sales prices range in the low to mid $300s. Homes in Copper Hills don’t become available often, which indicates residents’ affinity for the community and lifestyle. Since the community has been established for over 13 years now, residents can rely on the neighborhood to maintain its appeal.
